Melissa Dehner
Melissa Dehner is the owner of HoneyBee Creative, LLC, (www.honeybeecreative.net) a Fairway, KS based graphic design and illustration studio. Melissa, a Kansas native, has a degree in illustration and design and has worked in the Kansas City area for the past 12 years. She loves to work on anything creative - acrylic painting, colored pencil, mixed media, etc. Right now she is having a lot of fun creating paintings and drawings on scraps of wood from weathered pieces of fences. She also makes upbeat notecards from original artwork that she creates that are scanned into the computer and then layered together in Photoshop. Employees of HoneyBee Creative include a nutty 14 year old cat who breaks into "song" several times a day for apparently no reason, and a 5 yr. old 3-legged Australian Shepherd mix that can out-run most dogs with 4 legs!
Tick - Tock - Ticks! Now it's 26!

Jenny Whitehead
Jenny Whitehead a.k.a Washer Woman creates necklace pendants and magnets that almost always starts with a washer. She incorporates rusty trinkets, found objects, decoupaged art, and reused jewelry in her designs. They are meant to be fun, affordable, and interchangeable. The black rubber rope necklace is free with the purchase of a pendant.
Jenny is also a published children's book author and illustrator and will have books available for signing. Please check her website on www.jennywhitehead.com to see her books.
Petit Reve (Sarah Anderson)
Inspired by Michel's bravery and curiosity of the world, Sarah got the idea of a mother/daughter art work team. And voila'! Petit Reve was born. The goal is to eventually raise enough money to travel abroad and to have fun being creative together. They decided on Petit Reve (Little Dream) because Michel's first choice is France and to pay homage to their french great grandmother, Una Frachette. Sarah and Michel are also hoping this endeavor will force them to learn some french..cause uh....right now, they don't speak a lick!
Updates on their endeavor can be found at http://unicornpoo.blogspot.com.
Robin Mackintosh

"I like to rescue lost things, give them a second chance. My work incorporates many mediums and processes. I make jewelery from old tins, vintage buttons, pretty fiber, refound objects. I make "little journals" from discarded papers and found covers. I hand sculpt jewelry pieces from bronze and fine silver. I make ornamentation for your home with orphan things, bringing them together, making them work, giving them a home. All of my work contains a little heart, a little hope and a dash of sparkle!"
Bootheel Gourds (Alicia Thomas & John Brogden)
Alicia Thomas and John Brogden tell their story of the work they do:
"Bootheel Gourds are grown on the family farm in southeast Missouri. It began with seeds given to me by a friend who asked if my dad would grow her some gourds. When she was unable to work with last years crop due to illness, my brother and I decided to try our hand at birdhouses."
Denise Best
Denise says:
I grew up in the Kansas City area. I learned to sew as a child, but never cared much about it. My mom sewed and my grandmother did a lot of quilting and hand embroidery, but I never thought it was for me. About 2 years ago, I was re-introduced to fabric, sewing, quilting and embroidery. It was as though a new world opened for me. Passion took hold and I've been learning and creating something new nearly every day!
